Shapinsay Highland Cows

A cycle around Shapinsay. Keeping an eye out for migrant birds - there was a pair of shelduck at both The Ouse and Mill Dam, probably just arrived, and nine whooper swans at Loch of Vasa which will be off to Iceland any day.
I had coffee at the WW2 gun emplacement at Salt Ness. Nearby are searchlight emplacements built into the clay cliffs, which are steadily eroding. (extra). I have sat in there birdwatching, but not any more!
