ARGO'S BAKERY

Continuing our walk, Stromness North to South

At the bakery, which is now the Post Office too, you can also buy some groceries; beer, wines and spirits, newspapers and magazines; sweets and ice-cream.
It you live on Graemsay or Hoy you can place an order by phone and they will take your order down to the pier to be put on the ferry for you.  Probably don't include ice-cream in your order.

Extra is the (now closed) old Post Office - still empty after about 8 years.
