Chard Guard

After a dozen or so crows sat watching me at work this afternoon I’ve decided they’re the most likely culprits of seedling destruction. So the wingless owl has been recalled to action from its sabbatical. If nothing else it’ll provide the crows with a handy perch.
I was hoping to finish getting the veggie beds prepared for planting but the last bed still needs a bit of working before digging in the compost. The weather forecast is good for the whole week though so there’s no rush, I’ll get it finished soon.
Up at the golf course this morning and we didn’t need to check in to the Track and Trace system for the first time in forever. The rules are relaxed, coinciding with the highest hospital admission rates since the pandemic started! But low ICU rates which is much more important, though not if you’re waiting for a hospital bed for any other reason.
