Snips and Snaps

Winter Hill

Looking back to Winter Hill summit where we had been earlier on this morning's run. The hillock in the mid-ground is an ancient bronze age tumulus or burial mound of Round Loaf - surely not its original name. Heading back to Rivington Village via the lost farms of Brinscall Moor gave us a few extra miles for fourteen for the morning and just under 2000ft climbed. A glorious morning, before the rain came on this afternoon.

More on my blog if it's of interest : )
