Water tower ...

... at Waulkmill Glen Reservoir.
This Italianate tower was built in 1847 as part of the Gorbals Gravitation Water Company's water scheme. This was one of the first large-scale supply schemes in Scotland. William Gale was the engineer in charge and the reservoir and tower is class A listed. It is no longer used as a water supply and is now part of the Dams to Darnley Country Park
The extra shows a view of the reservoir and the tower.
