They say that if you place a decoy heron by your pond, then it keeps the real herons at bay. So far so good this year. Mind you, there is not much sign of the fish either, nor tadpoles, newts, frogs etc. It is forecast to be 'Scorchio' tomorrow so perhaps things will change and the pond will become the centre of life as we know it - well in our garden at least.

Perhaps Spring is really here !!
