Pondlife

Early this morning I was out filling the bird feeders when a familiar honk honk came from above. The geese are back!
As soon as I got home from work I nipped round to the pond and the three Canada geese from 2020 have become nine! Still the grumpy male leader picking on the young ‘uns, the more serene mum and auntie and I presume three new kids from last year.
I have better pictures but this one caught the heron, two ducks and another random goose, perhaps a greylag. Thrilled to see everybody back to witness the F’orgy that all this sunshine has brought on. A few sexually exhausted dead frogs lying on their backs. That’s commitment.
