Bear

Too lovely to be in at lunchtime so I took the faithful hound out and went to look at this giant bear. It’s a sculpture commemorating John Muir, a naturalist, author and early advocate of preservation of wilderness. Sometimes known as the Father of National Parks (in the US). This sculpture stands beside the A1 at Dunbar - John Muir’s home town and it’s the kind kind of weird thing that makes me smile.
