Wonderful, but expensive, day

Spent the whole day chairing the annual Buckinghamshire Wildlife Recorders' Seminar at Green Park, Aston Clinton. It was a very successful event organised by Julia and Fabrizia from the Environmental Records Centre. There were presentations on Fisheries Research, Chilterns Box Woodlands Project, 50 Years of Recording at the Biological Records Centre, Monitoring Threats to Tree Health, Environmental Recording in Milton Keynes and an Update on Wildlife Recording in Bucks. Each year this is a great networking event - it is also an opportunity to spend money as the wonderful Pemberley Books attend with a mouth-watering selection of entomological and other natural history books. I could not resist buying the first volume of the new series on Beetles of Britain and Ireland and the latest guide to Hoverflies - expensive, but also exquisite.
