Beetle having a poo!

I was looking for insects to photograph at Trentham Gardens and eventually found this beetle - if anyone knows what it is, please let me know. I struggled for a while trying to shoot it as it was constantly on the move. But then it stopped and I got my shot, not realising at first that it was a toilet stop.
