Coniston Fells

We were orienteering in Dunnerdale today in lovely spring weather and finished early enough to explore the village of Askam-in-Furness. This is an old iron ore place and has an artificial spit made from the old rubbish from the iron works. The blip is the view from the end looking up the Duddon to the Coniston Fells; the lenticular clouds add to the scene.

Best on black.

Today’s entry on the Abstract Fiesta journal is and old sand ripple.
