Borders

Spent the day in bed, sleeping, with only a couple of wakes for drinks and adjusting the shutters to ensure it stayed dark.
Eventually about 3pm the headaches and tiredness lifted ….finally and fairly suddenly felt almost human. A had booked to take Paisley to a different free range field south of Edinburgh so that she could look at a cottage that’s come on the market in Carlops, so I went with her to catch the late afternoon sun and some fresh air. Lovely spot, with alpacas in the next field (which luckily Paisley was totally uninterested in!).
We paused at Carlops to see the cottage…is it too small and would the poor power efficiency rating be a problem (although surely wouldn’t take a lot of heating as a wee stone cottage)? They’re going to see it on Wednesday so can decide then, but at least it’s in their price range and she loves being in the country.
Home for a supper of curries and watched some of the new Bridgerton series before back to bed!
