With apologies for all the rugby posts...

Our U16 girls are in the Connacht Cup final after beating Creggs 34 - 40 in our semi-final today. Creggs were unbeaten all season and had already won the league. It was a great game of rugby on a hot sunny day. We were down 34 - 26 with 4 minutes to play and our captain was in the sin bin but the girls were full of fighting spirit and, after winning a series of penalties on the Creggs 5 metre line broke the defense to score in the corner. The conversion reduced it to a one point game with 3 minutes to play. From the restart Sligo gathered the ball, went through a series of phases before our full back breached Creggs defense line and ran through to score under the posts.
Victory was so sweet.
