Biscotti on the Beach

The sea was serene and gentle, the tide well out and the slightly misty conditions blended the sky into the sea.  The beach was a magical place to be this morning when A and I walked along the shoreline.  For much of the time we had the beach to ourselves and on our left we could hear the gentle waves washing onto the sand and on our right the singing of skylarks over the marshes.

We found a suitable remnant of WWII coastal defences on which to sit and enjoy a flask of coffee and a couple of biscotti.

I don't think I've seen the tide quite so far out on this beach before, it revealed the strange sandy rocks featured in extras, along with some beautiful wave trickle patterns.  I've also added a beautiful curlew that we spotted on the walk back through the marshes.
