Las Salinas del Carmen

Las Salinas del Carmen (Fuerteventura) - extracting the sal from the Atlantic Ocean with an artisanal technology - were created in the second part of the 18th century and were a very productive industry until the beginning of the 20th century.
Actually las Salinas del Carmen has been recycled in a very instructive and interesting Museum, where we can learn all about this old technology, especially when you visit the outdoors space.
Closed to the Museum del Sal, you can see the big skeleton of the whale.
