Ding Dong Mine

We walked from the cottage to view some local ancient sites as well as local heritage mine.

The first site was Men-an-Tol. An ancient Bronze Age site including a rare holed stone. It's believed to have curative powers if you pass through it. The next spot was Ding Dong Mine. This is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The final ancient site was the Nine Maidens stone circle, another Bronze Age site.

We then walked towards the coast via Carn Galver Engine House. We had lunch at a place near to what climbers call Commando Ridge and watched the climbers and the seabirds.

We then walked north along the coast for a short while to Porthmeor Cove. From there we turned inland and walked back to the cottage.
