Tuesday: Calendula

Thick mist/fog when we got up this morning, it started clearing when the youngsters set off on their long journey home but it was lunchtime before the sun broke through.
Cloudy/cool weather was ideal for my gardening jobs: covered the soil under the deep bed frame with weed suppressant fabric.
Emptied 2 bins of homemade compost into the frame, removing anything which wasn’t compost!
Top layer is the organic soil & well rotted compost from the old deep bed.
Old plastic trays and wire mesh covering all the compost for now … otherwise the cats will be using it … :-((
Today’s Calendula has been in tight bud for a few days and the outer petals were a dark chocolate colour, love Calendulas!
This evening our little mountain has disappeared under mist again, another foggy night …
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
