Bubble Nest

The top photo is of a meadow spittlebug Philaenus spumarius aka meadow froghopper 'bubble nest'. The bugs larvae actually produces it's own nest which protects it from predators and keeps it moist. The meadow spittlebug is found all over the world. It's suspected of carrying a bacterium which causes disease in olive trees.
The bottom photo is of the first little male Ruby-throated hummer to show up this season. Expecting to see the others arrive, any day now!
