Blue Swirl

My abstract photos are generally spur of the moment responses to patterns, shapes and colours. On my beach-walk this afternoon I found this blue tangle of threads, part of a discarded or damaged fishing net. Such 'ghost nets' kill and injure large numbers of marine animals.
