Vloedgraaf

The Vloedgraaf is a watercourse dug in 1930, which functions as a water discharge for water surpluses from the Geleenbeek and the Rode Beek. It was originally dug to drain water from the mines.
Initially, this was a long straight stream, which was even tiled in places. The water board has been re-digging the stream since 1992, to give it a more natural character, by letting the lake meander through the landscape.
