Location scouting day

At 6 am Peter and I were in Drenthe, on the moorland Balloërveld, hoping for a nice sunrise with curling mist.
None of that. All grey and dull, but still we had a nice time.
After a huge breakfast in Fletcher Hotel Zeegse, we set course to Germany, to scout new locations.
Since we're heaving more and more trouble finding new spots in our own area, why not widen the circle. Germany isn't that far away, in fact it's closer than many other locations we go to. So, there's lots to explore just across the border.

We went to Jemgum, Leer and Moormerland. We found a beautiful castle near Leer (Schloss Evenburg, see the extra photo) that we never knew was there. Never been there before. We visited a few lakes as well, for example the Wolff See. Also beautiful.
Finally, hafway the afternoon, we arrived at Terborger Sieltief. A tiny spot with an old sealock at the Ems with a nice museum boat in it. Low tide when we arrived, so that timing was perfect. The clear blue sky we had by now, was less perfect, but for this scouting day it was okay.
I'll be back here someday with better photo weather circumstances.

All and all we had a nice day, with a few new locations on the list.
