Threave Castle Estate

It's been a while since L and I went to Threave Gardens so despite the distance we headed towards Dumfries where we stopped at a lovely garden centre for coffee and a treacle scone .... yummy!

We had a wander round the plant area and I bought two new Pulsatillas .... one white and the other pale mauve. l bought some fancy tulips and a purple Pulsatillas.

Then it was on to Threave which is renowned for the magnificent displays of daffodils. The Magnolias are not yet in flower but there were plenty of buds waiting for the temperature to rise by a few degrees.
