A sunny spot

I sat on a seat in the Old Churchyard, wrapped up in winter clobber soaking up the heat of the Sun. The Northerly air was cold but in this sheltered spot my body basked and felt energised by the warmth. Such a different experience from last Friday when I wanted to hide from the Sun’s rays.

I was not alone in the graveyard as it is a shortcut for many. As I was leaving I passed a lady eating her lunchtime sarnies, I wondered if she might take up my sunny seat now that I had gone.
