Thank You For the Days ..

Over the Hills ..

and not very far away.

To Newcastle this morning to look at camper vans - very small campervans. We were quite taken with what we saw, but being us, always slow to make up our minds ... we'll look at a few more before we decide.

There was a fair bit of snow up on the A696, but look at that blue sky!

We'd finished crawling over the van by 2pm. We've passed the sign to Gibside so many times, and I've seen some lovely shots of the grounds on Blip, so this was the day we got there. 18th Century Pleasure Ground, it says on the sign, and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, as soon as we set out to walk, the hail hailed down upon us, and we got rather wet, and cold. But we'll certainly be going back ... maybe even to stay overnight in a camper van ???

Heading homeward by a different route, we found ourselves crossing Hadrian's Wall, and decided to follow it for a bit. The road is actually on the route of the wall, you can see the ditch in the extra, to the right of the road.
The clouds were rolling in again ... more snow on the way?
