One daze at a time...

Yes...but where?

Where is the battleship? Can you find it? Can you find it?

Here is a clue: it is hiding somewhere between the battleship grey sky and the battleship grey sea.

This one actually is a battleship. It is the battleship. It's the one with the gun. The other three are not battleships per se. They are more skirmiships. They taunt the enemy force, maybe bump into them one or twice and then flee, trying to get the larger (they all are), heavier (they all are), better armed (they all are) enemy destroyers to run aground while in hot pursuit.

It's a strategy that gets my vote. Better than investing billions and billions in costly military hardware, to delay the inevitable invasion by 24 to 48 hours.

There were calls of late to procure actual fighter jets for the Irish air force. This is absolute madness. We need fighter jets like we need a hole in the head. I have a feeling that we are currently being groomed to take an active part in a future European Army. The Irish nation spends such a little proportion of its GDP in armament that we must definitely be last in class. The business of death is even more costly than the already eye-wateringly expensive business of health. I know where I prefer to see the money go.
