Tulip Fly-by

I made a quick trip out to West Green House for some lunch and a wander round the gardens in search of inspiration for the Flower Friday challenge.

West Green House has long been famed for its tulip collections, and the borders are full of plants. It will be a week or so before they really start blooming, but some of the developing buds have a charm of their own (extra).

My main image however is of a more conventional form which I rather liked for its colour and simplicity ... and not to forget the resting fly!
