State of the Art, Art of the State

Every several years, the Cameron Art Museum exhibits work from any and all artists who live in North Carolina.  The catch is they have to present their art in person during a 24 hour registration period that began today and goes through the night until 4:00 PM on Saturday.  During this period, a variety of entertainment takes place while artists wait in line at the various registration stations.  As a volunteer, my job during a 4 hour time frame was to photograph each artist with their designated assigned number (a mug shot).  Artists were able to video record a two minute segment answering questions about themselves and their art.  Also, Three curators from prestigious museums (the MET, etc.) briefly spoke to each artist.  More than 500 artists participate.

Entertainment (my blip) took place throughout the 24 hour period.  Extras include the first group to register and another music shot.

The opening is next week.
