Captivated

Maputo is extremely quiet on a Sunday, and I can often be found strolling. As capital cities go, it’s a relatively easy one to live in and navigate and I shall miss its relaxed vibe when I start spending more time in the metropolis of Dar es Salaam and only make visits to Maputo.

This is the Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano (French-Mozambican Cultural Centre), occupying an attractive iron building in an old part of the city. Despite it representing a dominant conglomerate, I also always like seeing the vivid Compal juice billboard plastered onto the colourful apartment building in the background. I suppose this is how marketeers get us.
