Regina's lifeboat

Took our walk by the sound today.    Whenever we see a ship like this with that orange lifeboat at the grain elevator, we think of the 2013 movie Caption Phillips….Tom Hanks in the true story of the captain of a container ship off the coast of Somalia that gets boarded by pirates and he escapes in this Japanese designed lifeboat that can carry 25 passengers and be launched off a large vessel at 30 meters.  Scary business.
I like the bit of city framed...

Tried to make something like a pep ventosa with the landscapes but not too successful…I did put one in extra    “low tide at pier 91.”

Yesterday the Canadian border gave up requiring pcr covid tests within the previous 72 hours for everyone entering Canada.   The line of cars at our border crossing was HUGE.  What none of the newscasts says is that “random” tests will still be given out to be completed there by video within 24 hours and then have a quarantine place if positive.   The stats so far for positives from the random testing is hardly worth what it must cost.   It will be interesting to see if that changes.  Most countries have given the testing up altho still require the vaccines.
