Service to New Zealand.....

...today I waited on the sand dunes at Pegasus Beach for the arrival of these four aircraft, consisting of the Avenger leading two modern Beechcraft T-6C Texan IIs and the Spitfire, such an amazing sight. They were slow and steady as they flew down the coast on this Air Force Heritage Flight, marking 85 years of service to New Zealand.

There have been other flypasts throughout the weekend covering all places in New Zealand with differing aircrafts. The above planes flew over our town this afternoon on their way back but were too far away for any decent shots, glad I made the effort to head to the beach this morning, there's a couple more in extras.

Goodness I would've loved to have been up there with them, gorgeous day for flying, so calm with brilliant views.

Happy Sunday everyone
