Through the woods

We decided to do the walk again from Broadhembury which we did with our walking group ten days ago. It was a chilly start but the sun was shining most of the day. We encountered two ploughed fields which weren’t there before, walking over very large clods where there is no footpath is very difficult. The next obstacle was a fun horse ride coming in the opposite direction to which we were walking. We had to stop and give them a wide berth as we noticed some of the riders didn’t have control of their horses. The one in shot was well behaved but they were well spread out and there were lots of them.
With a couple of wrong turns, soon corrected and twelve stiles to negotiate, some of the highest we have ever had to climb over. We enjoyed the walk again and took in more of the scenery as we weren’t distracted by talking to other walkers. 8 miles plus to add to my tally.
