Nesting time

In a couple of weeks the leaves will probably hide the swan. Last year there were no cygnets even although the swan sat on the nest for weeks. Fingers crossed that there will be cygnets on the Queens Park pond this year.

The coot has the untidiest of nests in the middle of the pond and her mate will continue to bring bits of twig and anything else he can find to keep the nest in tip top condition.

Drove through to Elie this afternoon and it's so cold and damp.
Hope things are a bit warmer tomorrow.
