Aubrieta

I discovered that this plant is often mis-spelt and I, myself, thought it was ‘aubretia’ and so I have learned something today! I have driven past this wall many times over the years. Ten years ago there was one ‘ball’ and now there are four. Today I went on a long walk and was able to take this picture. The wall is South facing towards the sea. I wonder if the fumes from the fish and chip shop next door help it thrive?!
