IT'S MONO MONDAY

The Challenge today is an unusual angle...most people look at this plant from above, I like to look at it from a low angle.
~
This is the May Apple (Podophyllum peltatum) a.k.a. Mandrake, ....not an apple at all but a member of the Barberry Family.
~
Overall, the plant is quite toxic. The unripe fruit is toxic but upon ripening, it is somewhat edible. Many of the locals make a jelly out of it and spread it on toast in the morning. However, even consuming large amounts of the edible fruit can be quite lethal.
~
I choose to leave it alone...there is no toxicity in making photos of the plants. Check the Extra to see it in color.
~
Best in Large.
