The Bigger Picture

I was a little surprised that I hadn't noticed before but there are full size reproductions of famous paintings dotted around Cromer in the most unlikely of places, such as this old  (and frankly scruffy) noticeboard on the side of a wooden shed at North Lodge Park.  Each painting has information below about the artist and the painting.  This is called 'Young Italian Woman at a Table' by Paul Cezanne and painted in 1895.  These paintings are the work of 'Cromer Artspace' and supported by Cromer Town Council, North Norfolk District Council, Kunst Historisches Museum in Wien and The National Gallery.
Cromer Artspace say that 'the impossibility of travel to galleries and museums during the dark days of Covid19 spurred on the idea, and there has been a great response from locals, visitors and businesses around town.  Originally due to finish in June 2021 we have been asked to continue through to 2022.'
What a brilliant idea and it certainly added to the enjoyment of the morning walk I shared with A this morning.
