Middle Woodford, near Salisbury. The Mockernut Hickory, one of the native Eastern United States trees in the vicars garden. The Rev Robert Chatfield planted a seedling in 1832, and 190 years later continues to flourish. The squirrells love the nuts. In USA the trees can be up to 500 years old.
