Where the Light Gets In

In French Therapy

the second season
of in treatment’s french version
finally on screen

Sorry for the shot's poor quality, but this is really the only notable event of my day. The second season of the series adapted from Israeli Be Tipul, which had previously been adapted in the US and starred Gabriel Byrne (<3) as the shrink, has finally been released and is available for binge watching on Arte (Franco-German TV station)!

While the first season took place right after the 13 November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris (near the Stade de France, at the Bataclan concert hall, and in surrounding streets), the second is set right after the end of the first lockdown, in mid-May 2020.

We love this show because it is filmed almost exclusively on one set, the psychiatrist's office, and offers a gallery of characters as episodes concentrate on one patient's session. There are four patients sessions and one session between the psychiatrist and his supervisor, and then we go back to the first patient, whom we get to know better and better. Episodes are short (20-25 minutes), which means it is easy to watch a whole "5-day week" in one sitting.
