Mt Whitney

After arriving in the dark, we woke up to a glorious view of the 14,505 ft Mt Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states.
Then a drive through Death Valley, the lowest place in the US. It was 101 F at the Visitors Center. We stopped on the outskirts of Las Vegas for dinner, then continued on to St. George, Utah, arriving in the dark again. Adding extras of the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine. And Death Valley.
