Derek Jarmans House

Another one from yesterday as today very wet and very very windy. This is Derek Jarmans house which I think is now being run by a trust after being bought by public donations to preserve it.

Our plan today was to tour some of the churches of Romney Marsh but we only got to three and as it was so so windy we only went in one at Old Romney( extra 1) …apparently this is where Derek Jarman is buried but we could not find his grave. The inside of the church was used for filming a long time ago and they painted all the box pews pink! We also visited St Mary in the Marsh where E.Nesbitt, the Railway Children author, is buried. ( extra 3) this was taken from the car as raining hard!

Luckily the fish shack cafe ( extra 2) was open today so we were able to get a nice lunch from there…but not warm enough to sit outside and eat it! No other customers when we were there.
