Long distance aid

We got word yesterday of a lorry heading for Ukraine. We were given a list of items required.

We filled our basket. Some of the items we bought are in this Blip. Underpants and socks for the soldiers. Pain reducing medication. Sanitary products. Tinned food. Bottled water.

Somehow, shopping for Ukrainians in the familiar surroundings of our village supermarket was really hard to process. But process it we must and hope these desperately needed supplies reach those in dire need in The Ukraine.

https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2958087560896708982 reminded us all today how the Spanish media are less constrained than the U.K. in showing their readers the full horror of what is happening. There is a debate in the UK as to whether a similar approach should be used here. The quality of the written word coming out of Ukraine from U.K. journalists is outstanding.

I also know of many who can no longer watch or listen to the news reports coming out of The Ukraine anymore.

The negative impact on the mental health of the vast majority of the “free world” is another massive unexpected consequence of Mr Putin’s actions.
