Flora settling into her field on the farm for a days rest. She and Sandra ( see yest) are nearly half way on their 500 km journey. Morning Coffee and catch up with Sandra , organised an emergency visit from my farrier (thanks to Murty) for Flora as her back shoes have slid back and worn thin from so much road work and then cooked vats of soup for the evening a excitement .
Had an excellent turn out for a fund raising evening at Susan’s for Sandra’s charity. About 45 friends came for food in the barn ( rotten weather but everyone wrapped up warm ) we had a raffle and second hand horse gear changed owners , sandra gave a talk and her pockets were bulging with cash at the end ! Exactly what was needed. Great age range of horse/ animal lovers from 6yrs to 101yrs ! There was a great buzz and we all loved seeing each other again, it’s been 2 yrs for some . Mighty horse and animal conversations and plans for riding out. Really happy and successful night .
