Ripen at home?

There is no way these nectarines would ripen in 2 days if I lived in the tropics let alone Chudleigh. And I wouldn't have bought them today, only that they were reduced in price, & I planned to chop them, then poach with a cinnamon stick & brown sugar to eat with yogurt at breakfast for a change from the gooseberry, & blackcurrant supply I'm working through in the freezer. (last years crop from the allotment).
