My Garden

Assembled garden shelving, a mix of plastic and metal netting.  It is light, airy and will be easy to pack away at the end of Summer.

Spent most of the day pootling between the house and green house, rain and hail showers came and went.  Prepared a patch of soil for the Broad Beans.  I'll plant them tomorrow.

Talking of beans, I can't find decent Spanish beans in jars anywhere, I have used tinned cannellini for this evenings meal. I may have to go to Waitrose.

The magpie has a technique to access the lard slab at the bird table.  They break into it with their big strong beak so bits fall away, very helpfully leaving crumbs for the ground feeding Wood Pigeons, Blackbirds, and Dunnocks.
