Chionodoxa

We have just a few round one of our trees, and they never flower quite as early as the snowdrops, despite their alternative name of Glory of the Snow.

The amalachier is now flowering.  It and this acer from certain directions make a good combination and contrast - but getting that across in a photo has proved difficult due to the excessively busy background.  I've put the best of a poor bunch in extras.

Another day of sharp showers and some sunshine - I suppose it is fairly typical April weather.
