By the seaside!

After a wild night with bits of tree falling all around in the gales, fir cones hitting the roof and the noise of it all, we were exhausted! Lottie was terrified and needed constant reassurance. We put the roof down and that made it cosier, the three of us snuggled up together!

Today we explored Sueno's stone, huge, over 6m tall, covered in Pictish carvings, at Forres. Then on to Burghead and Thomas Telford's harbour and a scramble round the rocks to the museum, which was closed for the winter! On to Hopeman, which had another Thomas Telford harbour, and we watched the huge waves cascading over the breakwater! Very dramatic! Every where we went was windy with terrific seas!

Inland, and to Duffus, to St Peter's church and cross. Fascinating graves and a lovely spot to wander round. Lottie managed a stone stile, clever girl! She would be excellent at agility, I'm sure!

Tea and another early night, cosied up with our books and our dog!
