Great Gable from Kirk Fell

PLEASE - view large on black to get the scale - the bigger the better!

A fabulous walk today - parked early at Seathwaite, walked Green Gable (to the left of the photo), then dropped down the front of Great Gable to the tarn, and climbed Kirk Fell. Retraced our steps to the tarn, then up the front face of Great Gable, which was a real icy, snowy scramble. When we got to the top, we were the only ones there (along with a raven).

Fabulous day, 10 1/2 miles and 3000 feet.

This is a stitch of 6 frames (portrait format) to get both the height and width in the shot - it equates to around an 18mm field of view (the 24mm was the widest I had with me)

This also got on the Border weather!
