Our original agreement with the Embawemi Women's group was that we would build and they would fund and run this orphan daycare centre, BUT as with many things in Malawi, fiction is rampant!!
Mary took up the mantle, employed these amazing and mostly uneducated women, gave them 3 weeks training, which is what she does very well, and now there is no reason why this will not become a model.
All have contracts, good pay for Malawi, roles and responsibilities.
All the children get one meal of Maize, soya and groundnuts, some of them their only meal.
What a place!!!
