Gainsborough's Blue Boy

Went to the National Gallery today - the picture is here for a few months on loan from America. In it's time it was the most expensive picture ever sold. The Boy was probably Gainsborough's nephew, Gainsborough Dupont, who was the only student the artist ever had to work in his studio. Gainsborough's older sister married a Dupont and had two boys - I am descended from the other son. Sorry about the blue reflection
