My Fair Isle sampler

Today I went to a workshop at our lovely local wool shop to begin to learn how to do Fair Isle knitting. This involves holding and working yarn with both hands. You are only working with two colours at a time. Once you get the hang of the techniques you can knit efficiently, without the yarn constantly getting tangled. You also get a good finish on the back, as you can just about see here - or at least the potential for it!

You may or may not find this exciting, but I do! Now I'm working on a Norwegian pin cushion, but not today because I'm bug-eyed now.
