The Elephant Graveyard.

This morning I heard, on the radio, that JCB had made a profit of £250m(?). While at work I noticed these two beasts amidst the woods. Looking about I could see another half dozen tractors, diggers and earth movers all abandoned and fading away into the undergrowth. I wonder at what point does it become economically sensible to just abandon this machinery?
